Internship Opportunities in Washington DC
Internships in the Iowa State University Federal Government Relations office are excellent opportunities for valuable and unique education about the federal legislative process. The intern program is designed to provide a positive and comprehensive learning experience on how to manage public policy in the federal political arena. We utilize our intern as an integral part of our team in our Washington D.C. office. Intern responsibilities include performing office duties, researching and tracking current legislative issues, attending Congressional hearings and policy briefings, and acting as general project support to our staff.
The intern program is specifically designed for college undergraduates. Scholastic credit is available but those arrangements must be made with the head of the department for which credit is being earned. This internship is not compensated.
